AND SO IS PREVIEW!

June 15, 2010

Preview is probably the most important event that happens at All American.  At our twice-yearly College Preview, college coaches from all over the US come to see elite softball athletes showcase their skills.  This takes place at one field complex, so all the coaches see all the athletes in one area.   This is where scholarships happen!  If you participate in only one event, this is the one to  do.  Coaches may happen to catch you in a tournament, but here they’ll be on the spot and can’t miss you!

Summer College Preview is being held on Friday, July 23, from 5 to 9:30pm at the Maidu Softball Complex in Roseville.   More information and registration can be found linked from our home page.

SUMMER CAMP IS ON THE WAY

June 15, 2010

All American’s annual Summer Camp is coming July 12-15, 2010.  Summer Camp is a lot of fun for everyone!  You can improve your softball skills and have a good time all in the same week!  You can check our home page for the flyer and registration forms.  This year we’ll have two of our excellent instructors talk about their college softball experience.  Summer Camp is for all ages!

The First Pitch

April 20, 2010

It was a beautiful day for a baseball game.  Sunny, with a nice breeze to cool you off.  Great stuff!  There were hundreds of softball fans as well, because it was ASA Day.  The festivities started with a parade around the ball field of local softball teams.  Some of those kids are so little, they are just adorable in their uniforms!

A big family contingent was there to see Kelly throw one of the first ceremonial pitches.  She looked good out there!  Here’s a picture that Krystle (who runs the Roseville Pro Shop) took:

We all had SUCH a good time!

River Cats invite Kelly to Throw First Pitch at Opening Weekend Softball Event

Big news!  Kelly has been invited to throw out the first pitch at the River Cats’ Opening Weekend game with the Reno Aces!  The game starts at 1:05pm on Sunday the 18th, and the pre-game festivities, including that first pitch, will all take place earlier.  Sunday is ASA Day at Raley Field.  So get to the ball field early!

You’ll Love This Story!

April 8, 2010

The mother of one of our 2009 College Prep grads sent us an email with a great story…her daughter, who’s now attending a southern California university, sent her a present.  Here’s what Mom had to say:

So when I finally got home from work tonight, I received the best gift ever….when I opened the box there was a very beaten softball with a note that read….

 Dear Mom,

Here’s my first homerun ball. I hit it in my game on March 15th.  I just wanted to give it to you and say thanks for making it happen.  I couldn’t have done it without your help getting me into school and supporting me with softball all these years.  Thanks Mom I love you.

I’m on cloud 9 with tons of tears.

Brought a tear to our eyes, too.  Thanks, Mom!

Clinic season’s over – here come the tournaments!

April 8, 2010

Well, the clinic season is over, and was really successful.  Clinics were held in 15 different locations over Northern California, and we added two new significant areas to our list of clinic sites.   Altogether we had 6500 athletes in our clinics and 150+ coaches, with 300 athletes and 75 coaches in our new areas alone.

Clinic season starts in January and goes through March.  Our clinics are a great way to get fastpitch softball players of all ages up to their best playing capability before the regular softball season starts.

We’ll be traveling to opening days and tournaments during the next few weekends and through the summer.  Our mobile Pro Shop, also known as the “Red Trailer” makes its appearance regularly at these events.

March 16, 2010

The Vacaville Reporter had some great news about Vacaville High School’s softball team, which includes a few of All American’s College Prep athletes.   They had a great game in their season opener against St. Francis.  Here’s the news story:

Appreciation from Rocklin Girls’ Diamond Divas Coach

March 16, 2010

We were extremely pleased to receive the nicest note from one of the coaches from the Rocklin Girls Softball organization.  Here’s what Coach Dave Sarra had to say about our players’ and coaches’ clinics:

“On behalf of the Diamond Diva Softball club let me say that
we ALL  owe All American Softball and Kelly Jackson a
BIG debt of gratitude. With your support, you have helped us
to prepare our girls for their season. Your contribution to
our team and Rocklin Girls Fast Pitch Softball League has
been note worthy and simply outstanding. Furthermore, 3 of
our girls went through your measures program and have taken
various lessons  throughout the winter months.   Your instructors, and their ability to teach these young athletes, has helped to set them apart from the field and prepare them in very significant ways. They have made incredible progress and also developed a better understanding of the game.   They’re excited and ARE, Good To Go! Great Job!

“On another note, you have also been instrumental in helping
me learn how to teach, instruct and Coach my team.
Another debt of gratitude that simply cannot be repaid. Your
facility and staff has earned my highest endorsement
and I will continue to recommend All American Softball to
those parents that want to give their children a competitive
advantage. Thank you so much from The Coaches and the
Diamond Diva Softball Club.”

Thank YOU, Coach Sarra, for your kind words!

College Prep Grad is Utah Valley Player of the Week!

March 7, 2010

We just had a news flash about one of our 2009 grads, Charlee Cisneros, who’s now attending Utah Valley University in Orem.  Charlee was named Softball Mountain Division Player of the Week on February 18.  She hit .545, going 6-for-11, in her first weekend playing at the collegiate level.  She also recorded three doubles, scored five runs, and drove in three runs to help the Wolverines to a 2-2 mark at the BYU Red Desert Classic in St. George, Utah.  Great going, Charlee!

Five Seniors Close to Verbals!

March 7, 2010

Five more of the graduating seniors in our College Prep Program are very close to verbal commitments to play college-level fastpitch softball .  We’ve already had 18 of our graduating class of 30 make commitments to colleges all over the country – UC Berkeley, Virginia Tech, Cal Poly, Asuza Pacific, Concordia Chicago, to name a few!   We are so thrilled to have our College Prep grads go to such outstanding universities!
